METZGER'S MEAT MARKET
OLD LOCATION
Pork Fiction |
 |
This is the old location of Metzger's
Meat Market. It was in a much older strip mall along with other
businesses such as a computer store and a massage parlor. It
burned down and this is what they've built in its place. No word
yet if Metzger will return here. |

There are several in the Atlanta area and at the moment I'm not sure at which one they filmed. |

NEW YORKER MARKETPLACE & DELICATESSEN
CELEBRITY ROAST
SCRAP IRON CHEF—BACON CHALLENGE |
 |
Wonderful little sandwich shop and delicatessen. Chris & Carolyn Casper started their business in
1995 after moving to Atlanta from New York and being "saddened by the lack of good delis." |
 |
They've won numerous awards for their sandwiches from Creative Loafing, Insite Magazine and Citysearch.com.
I had the Big Ass Roast Beef. Yummy. I highly recommend a visit. |

Pleasant Hill Cemetery (the adjacent church formerly was
Pleasant Hill Methodist Church) dates to 1896 and contains many
antebellum and some Civil War graves, both northern and southern.
The land for the cemetery was donated by planter William Brown in
1877.
Here's a nice
little article on the building from the AJC. |

Restaurant Solutions is a food services provider for the Marietta/Atlanta area. The building is
long and narrow. There's a basement, too, full of old, used equipment for purchase at a discount. |
 |
This is the front office (the door on the right side
of the building in the picture above). Here is the small stuff
they sell. The rest of the building houses the big stuff.
Browsing is encouraged. |
